Youth Link is a 1-2-1 Mentoring Service for young people aged 10 and upwards. Young people come to us voluntarily to spend time with a mentor for a variety of reasons. One of our aims is to help young people get back into education, training, or employment if appropriate, but more importantly, we hope to motivate, raise self-confidence and open doors to potential opportunities. We develop a non-judgmental, supportive and on-going relationship with young people through regular contact on a 1-2-1 basis. All Youth Link’s staff are fully trained. They have a variety of skills that compliment the service from Level 3 OCN qualifications in Mentoring, to a qualification in Youth Work. Our purpose is to support young people in their transition from childhood to responsible adulthood: to encourage their social development and individual fulfillment: to help and encourage them to engage more actively in society.
